Afternoon Exhibition Chapter 14 "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji, Second Half"
mesm Tokyo will offer the second half of its special afternoon tea program, “Fugaku Sanjurokkei (Thirty-six views of Mt. Fuji), Second Half,” in collaboration with The Sumida Hokusai Museum. The program will be available at the 16th-floor bar and lounge “Whisk” from September 1 (Mon), 2025.
As the 14th installment of our "TOKYO WAVES" Afternoon Exhibition series themed on masterpiece paintings, this program continues from the well-received first half. While inheriting popular sweets, the second half introduces five new types of sweets and savories.
In addition to an appetizer of daifuku, a sweet said to be a favorite of Hokusai Katsushika, the menu features items such as a savory expressing the scene from “Ōno Shinden in Suruga Province” and sencha scones themed on “The Tea Plantation of Katakura in Suruga Province.” Guests can enjoy the world of ukiyo-e with all five senses through a menu that translates scenes and anecdotes from Hokusai's masterpieces into flavors. Please look forward to the “second half” of this unique program where art and cuisine merge.
