The philosophy behind the hotel’s name comes from the word “mesmerize,” meaning to captivate as if by magic. In this second concept movie, we hope guests will sharpen their sensibilities and experience the “moment of beginning,” when inner creativity awakens. In the film, the protagonist is a musician from our nightly live performance “Showcase.” Through a stay at mesm Tokyo—filled with sensory discoveries—he finds inspiration and shapes it into a new song, leading to the quiet breath he takes just before stepping on stage.
